Shockey is a mensch! Caucasus mountain hunts were brutal in every respect and he didn't whine, just spoke cautiously. He treats people very well. Glad he got one maneater out of those folks' way -- the shirt pulled from the stomach said it all...

I agree. That had to be one of the best hunting show episodes I have ever seen. My wife, who never watches them with me, got engrossed. she has been to the Zambezi delta with me and understands what conditions those people live in.
Truly fantastic television

Yes his last few episodes about African hunting have really shown the reality of people that have to live with wildlife. The croc episode and to an extent the hippo episode have been excellent TV. I wish his show was on something like Discovery or Nat Geo which would reach a wider audience. His show portrays hunting as just part of the overall outdoor experience.

Nice hunting areas getting too much exposure if you asked me.Look where this whole thing about being upfront and telling everyone about our African hunting adventures has gotten us.

Absolutely awesome. Two of the three BEST together again. Jim and Ivan make a great team, and I see that CB is doing some good stuff on his own as well. This show is sooooo much more than what has been out there in the past there is no comparison. Hopefully this is a trend that continues and gets us rid of things some thought so great in the past?

I have been to that region of the Zambezi several times and everything portrayed is exactly how that situation is in real life. Watching this episode put me right back in the thick of things. Keep up the good work JS and will be watching to see what you come up with next.

It was a dramatic hour long show which depicted daily struggles of the local resdidents, the deadly environment where they live and the need for controling those deadly crocs. I also appreciated that it was devoid of commercial plugs for products which is the reason I stopped watching hunting shows.

When they started cutting open the belly of that croc I knew what was going to happen. Very brutal reality, that.

Putting up those post barriers in the water is their only salvation from croc attacks when they have to get in and near the water. Even a small croc can take a hand off.

Truly fascinating look at killer crocs. The average suburbanite has no clue this type of danger still exists in the world today. I hope Jim finds a bigger audience than the "hook and bullet" crowd for this very reason.

Russell Lovemore is a good friend and I hope he continues to do well with his area in Moz.

Excellent TV.

Here is my Dad's croc from that same place in June. Huge crocs there in Lake Cahora Bassa!
