Does anyone know where I might find ERNEST the good luck charm or should I say the good luck charm to many. I have booked a elephant hunt with Nixon and SSG for 2011. After botching up on an elephant last year I am returning with plans to redeem myself and would like to have ERNEST traveling with me.

This will be a special hunt as my son and possibly my son-in-law will be joining me.

The Earnest (aka Mojo, aka JuJu) that accompanied me to Zim since went to Zambia with Jeff H and is now back in Zim with Anton Dahlgren. Before that, he accompanied Biebs to Namibia.

He has one elephant, four buffalo, and three leopards under his belt that I know of. Hopefully Anton will salt two more leopards with him over the next two weeks or so.

H,

Maybe it's just me, but I wouldn't be too worried if Ernest doesn't go with. Nixon has plenty good juju mojo too. A 60+ is definitely possible. But who knows, with Ernie in your pocket you may run into one of the big bulls.

How many days and a wakeup till your trip?

Hartley,
Don't forget how much Ernest drank on our last trip. Better take some extra Excedrin.

I would like to invite him to join me for an elephant hunt in August of next year. Is his dance card filled that far in advance.

he was on 2 elephant hunts that I have guided, so I am pretty sure your figures above are slightly low.

I knew he was mainly an elephant hunter before this year. I was counting one of the eles that Karl is referring to, so that gets him up to a minimum of four elephants.

Five. Big Grin

Ernest being delivered to me by hand at the airstrip at Chete. He, of course, worked!

Judge,

He sure worked for me at Chete - kudu, baboon, eland, buffalo, impala, klipspringer. Thanks for loaning him to me and bigguy458.

Judge: Little Ernest worked quite well for Scott on the 4 legged stuff....I got a really nice dugga boy and I caught the biggest Tiger fish, Rebecca finally caught a couple of Tiger fish too (one about 5 lbs) after two trips. thanks for loaning him to us.
