Here is a link to a BBC report that says 77 more white owned farms seized in the last fortnight, with participation of the new "unity" government. Sad, hope for the sake of those we have contact with via this forum, that this is not as bad as could be.

The MDC faction of the new government is not taking over the farms, it is a handful of loyal ZANUPF thugs. Some of the farms are part of the SADC ruling. Zim govt lost and the farms were ruled off limits for resettlement.

Any hunting, touristing, safaring or other activities on these farms is illegal. One of the Zim farmers has retained legal counsel in the states and is going after those that hunted on his property after the first round of invasions.

I saw that on Friday the 20th the official inflation rate was ten sextillion percent. Can anyone tell me how many zeros that one has behind it?

Sorry, I have no idea of how many zeros in a sextillion. But I advise to add anything between three and six zeros to the "official" inflation rate to get close to the real or actual rate! Big Grin

In good hunting.

Why dont you Texans suceed from the UNION. Cut Kalafornia and New York loose and let those two liberal states go it alone with their liberal agenda, and lets see how they get on. Hell they were instrumental in getting the Obama circus in power.

Kalafornia is broke and NY is a big part of the banking crises. Stand up and be counted Texas, you can do it without them two dragging you deeper into the Canyon of despair.

Cheers, Peter

Thanks for inspiration! Some of us Texans are almost old enought to remember the last time we tried to rid ourselves of the "original thirteen"! Did not work out so well and we have been saddled with their debts ever since. Unfortunately we would have to throw in Nevada, Arizona, Florida and a few others this time around. Gotta luv the New York repsonse to the Souther states that "do not want the handouts" - give it all to us! Go figure!

I am from Northwest Louisiana and I say we will throw our hats in with Texas. I am at the point where I am getting tired of working six months out of the year to support two families of Illegal Aliens and an Octomom or two.

We seldom get to choose
But I've seen them go both ways
And I would rather go out in a blaze of glory
Than to slowly rot away!

I think you could count New Mexico in with Texas and the lot even through it went Demo this time. If push came to shove the sportsman here would see to the fact.

It's easy to confirm now for sure, just check out the States with their hands held out and screaming give me more!!.

I have been a Republican my whole life and find that the last eight years of Republican control have pretty much bankrupted this country. They both look alike to me. Your representatives just tells you what you want to hear and goes right on spending as if there was not a tomorrow. Why don't all of you ask where is the government "of the people by the people and for the people". It is big business and the greed of those who run those businesses that have gotten us there. Why don't you see who they were sending their political donations too. Its easy to point fingers but the Democrats were not the majority party while this was all coming down. And who built that road to nowhere.

Heck, us Okies are with you. We will succeed if you will. We just don't have the smarts to set up a new country. You Texans had a country and gave it away in 1845. We got the Indians and you got the oil.

Just spoken to my friends still in Zim..

The Zim currency no longer exists. ( For those who don't know yet ). All transactions are to be in Rands or US$. That should slow the inflation rate, maybe.

The last 77 farms seized was a desperate attempt by ZANU PF to get something before they can't get anymore. Again, all trouble up around Harare.

Here is a good proposal on how to divide up the country:

Subject: Separate ways

Interesting satire from a law student:
Dear American liberals, leftists, social progressives, socialists, Marxists, Obama supporters, et al:
We have stuck together since the late 1950's, but the whole of this latest election process has made me realize that I want a divorce. I know we tolerated each other for many years for the sake of future generations, but sadly, this relationship has run its course. Our two ideological sides of America cannot, and will not ever agree on what is right, so let's just end it on friendly terms. We can smile, chalk it up to irreconcilable differences, and go our own way…
Here is a model separation agreement: Our two groups will equitably divide up the country by landmass each taking a portion. That will be the difficult part, but I am sure our two sides can come to a friendly agreement. After that it should be relatively easy! Our respective representatives can effortlessly divide other assets since both sides have such distinct and disparate tastes. We don't like redistributive taxes so you can keep them. You are welcome to the liberal judges and the ACLU. Since you hate guns and war, we'll take our firearms, the cops, the NRA, and the military. You can keep Oprah, Michael Moore, and Rosie O'Donnell (You are, however, responsible for finding a bio-diesel vehicle big enough to move all three of them) …
We'll keep the capitalism, greedy corporations, pharmaceutical companies, Wal-Mart, and Wall Street. You can have your beloved homeless, girlieboys, hippies, and illegal aliens. We'll keep the hot Alaskan hockey moms, greedy CEO's, and rednecks. We'll keep the bibles and give you NBC and Hollywood. You can make nice with Iran and Palestine and we'll retain the right to invade and hammer any place that threatens us. You can have the peaceniks, and war protesters. When our allies or our way of life are under assault, we'll provide them security.
We'll keep our Judeo-Christian values.. You are welcome to Islam, Scientology, Humanism, and Shirley McClaine. You can also have the U.N. We, of course, will no longer be paying the bill.
We'll keep the SUVs, pickup trucks, and oversized luxury cars. You can take every Subaru station wagon and Prius you can find.
You can give everyone healthcare, if you can find any willing, practicing doctors. We'll continue to believe healthcare is a need and not a right. We'll keep The Battle Hymn of the Republic and the National Anthem. I'm sure you'll be happy to substitute "Imagine", "I'd Like to Teach the World to Sing", Kum Ba Ya, or We Are the World".
We'll practice trickle down economics, and you can give trickle up poverty your best shot. Since it often so offends you, we'll keep our history, our name, and our flag.
Would you agree to this? If so please pass it along to other like minded liberal and conservative patriots, and if you do not agree, just hit delete .. In the spirit of friendly parting, I'll bet you ANWAR which one of us will need whose help in 15 years.
Sincerely, John J. Wall.
Law Student and an American
P.S. Also, please take Barbara Streisand.

One of our problems, is that all we get to vote for is the right wing of the BIG Government party or the left wing of the BIG government party. And both seem determined to use ever increasing debt to spend us into being the new, SUPER sized Zimbabwe....minus Elephants, Leopards, Sables, Kudus etc.
