Folks,
I have been trying to upload photos for my Hunt Report on Mozambique to my Photobucket account and it is taking FOREVER! Between all of the adverts and pop-ups it is excrutiatingly slow. What other sites have you found that are easier? I have been on PB for years but this is really ridiculous.

Wow, I don't have a problem with Photobucket. The only time the pop-up video comes on is when I'm uploading photos to the system. I find it to be quick and convenient.

Bwanamrm - Photobucket absolutely did not work for me either, and I'm not sure why. It would not size my photos correctly, and it would not upload more than one photo at a time either, even though it says you can upload photos in bulk. I asked for a refund from them and got it. I've heard that some people use Snapfish and it works good, so I'll probably try them next.

Yes, 24 photos uploaded in 2 hours is ridiculous! Between the commercials loading when your pix are trying to and the pop-up adds there has got to be a better way!

Their website says the commercials don't slow your interaction with PB. Seriously???

I use Photobucket, but resize my pics before posting and perhaps that saves time. I also have no problem uploading several at a time, leaving the tanks to battle on. I do turn down the sound of course.

If you do not resize the pictures, it takes an eternity. I take the pictures I want to upload and email them to myself selecting the make my pictures smaller option. Then I upload the smaller email picture files. Probably takes 10-15 seconds to upload each picture. On the other hand, uploading a 8 MB picture will take a long time.

I finally managed to get a photo hosting site that is easy to use and uploads quickly, try postimage.org if you were having trouble like me.

Photo's from one of my Cameras take longer than the other, so it may be the setting of your camera.

Russell,
If you download the new Imagestation Photobucket desktop uploader it will load them very quickly. It's the fastest version yet.

I've never had trouble with Photobucket such that is mentioned but I do pay the $20 a year for the 'pro' account. Uploading multiples and setting for picture size has never been an issue and is easily changed.

Another option available is of course facebook, no charge to upload there but you are limited to photo quality/size.
