Can't speak for the specific area, but here's my bull from last year along the Eastern border of Gorongosa Nat'l Park near Muanza.

Your outfitters website and the references you call about the hunt should be able to give you a good idea of buffalo quality in the area you will be hunting.

Pondoro...the area Sevens took his buff is the same area you are looking at.

Definately MORE buff in Coutada 10, but the area adjacent to the park is definately worth looking at. I am consdering a hunt there in 14' or 15' BUT not looking to hunt buff. If you are looking to hunt cats this would be a better choice. Frowm what I have been told and seen on the website buffalo quality ranges from 34" to 42" +

Also you want to hunt August onward for buff in this area. Another thing to keep in mind...the restoration of Gorongoza Park is well on track by all accounts with all species showing strong increases...this should bode well for this operation going forward.

I'll try to get this posted. I took this buff with Safaris de Mocambique in '10. Just a tad over 41"
Just sitting in that chair is not as nice but it hasn't been mounted yet.

I'm proud of my trophies but giving them their own chairs.....

Lots of Buff in Coutada 11. Hunted it twice with the Haldane brothers, 2003 & 2005. Largest Buff I took there was 43".

It's definitely cheaper than a pedestal mount right now. Hide should be tanned shortly and then it will bet more expensive. Hell, I'm hard to get along with and almost nobody sits in that chair anyway. Hearth huh?
