You guys are Phillistines.

Just because the Heym does not have a picture of Elvis on Black Velvet is no reason not to like it.

I suppose that the populartity of Rap Music has something to do with the dislike of nicely done engraving.

Oh well, at least we know that there is a market for Beech Wood Stocks and Craigmont Cola. Big Grin

Hear, hear to both 500grains and Mickey.

The only thing looking a bit "out of it" is the elephant "scuplture" top lever and it looks ver tasteful and in proportion when viewed on the whole rifle and extremely well done.

As the old saying goes: "What's one man's treasure is another man's trash" Great work of art, maybe not a practical gun, but there are gun collectors and then there are shooters, hunters, etc. etc. Try and leave out all of the personal attacks. It really doesn't add to issues on AR and makes you all look like horses asses in the end to anyone who views the forums.

UEG,

Opinions where asked for and given. Do not get mad beacuse someone speaks their mind. This rifle is WAY over the top. Yes, there was a lot of skill needed to made this rifle up. But that does not make it appealling to everyone. Most here, I belive, follow after the British style of DGRs. The Germanic style of engraving is totally different, being very "heavy handed" to most here.

As for what newbys or outsiders think of this forum, by reading one or two post with plain speaking, so what. This is still to best thing going on the internet, for a hunting and gun forum. Those from the other forums just wish that they had over 500 ACTIVE POSTERS, not to mention the 14,000+ registered there.

I don't see why anyone would think the rifle is not practical. It may be too expensive for some people, and not suit the taste of other people, but as long as the owner can afford the purchase price, the rifle probably shoots as well as one without the engraving.

i dont see why people are saying they wouldnt use it if they owned it. It should be used just as any rifle would be. Whether its a $1,000 winchester safari or a $50,000 Westley Richards its a rifle and should be used, thats what it was made for!

Lighten up. You are confusing some tongue in cheek comments for personal attacks.

Stick around awhile and you will learn what a 'Personnal Attack' really is. Big Grin

No harm no foul. As long as all of you "One of Thems" can still bed down together, I don't care. Now that's the spirit--carry on!
