I just booked a hunt with Buzz Charlton for PAC Bull Ele. in Omay and a 7 day Sable in Kwekwe. Can anyone tell me about these areas. I hunted with Buzz last year and I was already to hunt with him again. FYI I have made 4 previous trips to Africa and always enjoyed the PH's,but Buzz is the first one I ever had such a strong desire to hunt with again. To all you loyal AR members out there I can really recommend that you try to scedule a huint with Buzz.

I hunted near Kwekwe (not with Buzz) in '02. Sable was high on the list and we only saw one good bull in 6 days of hunting.

I have no idea where Buzz is hunting around there but 3 years ago ranches were being taken like crazy.

The impression I got was that the land owners were getting desperate (can’t really blame them) and maybe allowing too much hunting pressure.

Buzz has a great reputation so hopefully he has a good area.

All the best,
Kyler

Dave
I did a 21 day Safari in the OMAY in June 2004.
The area was full of elephants. I took 2 cows and one bull[50 lb and 55 lb. Also a nice buff and some good plains game.
The OMAY has a reputation as not a great plains game area, but I was very happy with my kudu, impala and waterbuck. Also my side striped jackel and big civet cat was a real plus to me.
I hunted with HHK.

Dave,
I've hunted with a number of PH's and Buzz is definitely at the top of the heap! Good hunting..
