Aside from the differences of opinion on Sullivan's hunting tactics, what do you think of his book? Is it an good read for those that enjoy safaris? Is it a book that will appeal to a double rifle owner? To those that have seen it, is it "a buy" or not?

It is not worth the money. Lots of pretty pictures, but a bit too self-serving.

I have the book and was initially disapointed. It is more of a picture book than a good read. I don't like the fact that he puts down several of his clients in the book.

I missed my chance last spring when I saw new ones for 49.95. They're still around $100US on the used market. I have it in my "do not buy for over $20.00" list in case some well meaning relative/friend gets ahold of my book want list.

Spring If you like the movies you will like the book I bought the book for the $ 50 and think that it is OK. Lots of great pictures of fine rifles and lots of pictures of great buffalo. Sullivan is very square in the book - if a client did not do well then he did not do well. Lots of hunters do not shoot well and think they do. If they brag about the fact that they are a great shooter then Mark will find out. He knows where to place the bullet when push comes to shove. Attack me Cheers, Andr

Let's put this to rest. Spring, email me your address and I will send you my copy of the book. After you read it, post your thoughts here (and mail it back). If you think it is worth owning, then you can buy one.
