I was told that the stainless Model 76 Dakota would be available about middle of year 2005, but you know how that goes. Hopefully sometime in the next year.

The 500 A2 is a great cartridge. I have a Ruger No.1 and a ZKK 602 BRNO/CZ that are 500 A2's with throat variations that I call the .510 JAB. Fun, and all the kicks I'll ever need. Stock up on the excellent .460 Weatherby brass made by Norma, and your .500 A-Square will never go unfed. A-Square is supposed to be making some good brass for it once again. Watch out for the old soft stuff from A-Square's former life.

Sure it would. Anything that will fit a .416 Rigby or 450 Dakota will fit a 500 A2.
