It has been at least a year and a half since I booked my hunt it seems. It feels more like 3 years waiting but the time is finally here. Leaving in a couple hours to drive to Calgary and then flying out this evening with a friend of mine. It has been a wild roller coaster ride the last few weeks without knowing where we are hunting but I think Zambezi hunters has us going to Nuanetsi. Thierry will be my PH and from what I have heard I can't wait to meet up with him. Hopefully all goes well. I imagine it will. Hopefully I can keep Thierry's track record up with another Leopard to his count!!

I wanted to say thanks for a great forum here and some outstanding people that have helped to make this dream come true. Especially Larry Shores and Mark Young for putting up with all of my crazy questions and helping out when needed. Thanks guys!!!
I have a lot of my own hunters and I am off to my Waterfowl camp right after I get home but promise I will write a full report as soon as it is possible when I can find some time and get my pictures sorted out.
Take care and remember it is always possible to follow your dreams. All things are possible!!!

Thanks guys. Just got through security. I am on a BA flight and so far have been ripped off. They made me take my ammo out of my checked bag and checked seperate. They wanted to charge us $360 for one gun case and one ammo case extra along with the handling charges PER PERSON!! We put up a bit of a stink and ended up getting overcharged still at I think it was $230 roughly. According to Gracy Travel it is supposed to be a whole lot less?? Will have to check into it when I get home but they said heads up that it will be another $300+ on the way home if I bring my ammo and guns. I think next time I will just buy a new gun and leave it there and it will be cheaper me thinks lol. Got to roll with it I guess. I will give Gracy a call when I get home I think to see what they can do. So far I don't recamend BA flights lol

FYI: I have it on good authority that Phil's "plan B" safari at Nuanetsi is going quite well.

Will,

You have that right. Phil has used up enough good karma to last most hunters a lifetime. All I can say is Wow!!!!

Hey guys!!! A little update for now about my trip. I am at Thierry's house right now. I quit hunting 2 days early all because I shot everything that walked and it was nice to see some of the country. I will do a big report when I get back but it might take a week or 2. My leopard was Thierr's second biggest ever!!!! It had 3 other PH's try at it as well which was real cool. I also got 13 other trophies including a 60.25" kudu, massive Grysbok, nyala and a bunch of other real high scoring trophies. What a dream come true

Wish I could get into my photobucket account here in Zim and I would start writing my report. This internet here won't let me get into a lot of websites and is sooooo slow.

Fish, Thierry has shared a bunch of pics of your hunt with me as well as others. It has been good for a lot of Thierry's hunters. What an outstanding PH. I am feeling very spoiled right now and I am O.K with it.lol

Glad everything worked out, Phil. I know you had a little apprehension about the trip but sounds like it was a grand success!

Say "Hi" to Thierry and look forward to reading about your hunt in detail.

Travel safe and know that I'm very jealous you're in Zim and I'm in MT!

Sounds like Nuanetsi might just be a rare success story in Zim this year with everything else going on there right now.
