Reminds me of something I read in "The Millionaire Next Door." Physicians, the author wrote, are the worst at accumulating wealth (given their income). One of the reasons, he states, is that their wives spend plenty.

My wife got back from London on Thursday; there for business and one day of fun with a wealthy friend of hers who took her to a musical, dinner, shopping, and gave her a bunch of presents from Turkey.

I got the usual bottle of whiskey and Toblerone from duty free.
