I want to be Bert in my next life.

And that includes being married to Brigitte. Big Grin

Chris divides his time between Las Vegas and the Seattle area. My wife and I have had the privilege of having dinner with Chris and his current spouse, Grace, and it was enjoyable. He is a very unassuming individual and one of the nicest guys you'd ever meet. Grace is a classy lady as well! tu2 Two of Chris's books that I keep in my law office libary:

Yes, Brigitte died in 2013. Terrible loss.

I understand that some of her ashes were buried by Bert and friends near the Mbarangandu River in the southern Selous.

She and Bert booked our second safari in the Selous. She was a fun and fine woman.

In my opinion, Bert is the greatest hunter alive, and perhaps who ever lived.

My wife and I attended a fun "South of the Border" party at Chris/Grace's home in Las Vegas last year before SCI....Bert was there and in great spirits, he still lives in Texas, as well as ol' Bob Markworth, the archer who did the shows with Colleen for years. Gene is still alive and well living in assisted living east of Seattle. These guys are the great old Masters of Hunting the world!!
Cheers,

I met Chris at the SCI Convention last year where he signed my copy of GameMasters. We sat and talked for a half hour or so. A very nice man!

470EDDY: I have had dinner and talked at length with Bob Markworth as well. He now has a new, very attractive (but married) female assistant for his archery shooting show which he still does. He recently did his presentation at the World Archery Awards here in Las Vegas that my wife and I attended. Here's Bob latest book as well:
