Less haste

On the first morning of Faisal's hunt in Royal Kafue we turned down this 43 inch Sable.

For this enormous brute.

A few days later we both recorded the largest Sable bull that either of us had ever seen and Faisal has hunted them across the continent from Tanzania to Zimbabwe.

Sadly we do not have a photo as Faisal was on the sticks lining up on the largest reedbuck we had ever seen.

Andrew, my friend, you have some extremely nice trophies in your Kafue concession! I would have had to pass on the reedbuck in favor of the sable. That is, of course, unless there were no sable left on quota...

OK, forget ROYAL REEDBUCK and call it ROYAL SABLE.

Great genetics at Royal Kafue.

Joyce and I thought the game density increased in the three short weeks we were there and I believe now that must be the case.

Fantastic Andrew!!!

I don't think there is a more stunning animal in Africa, especially when they get to be that size! Indeed there must be some terrific genetics in the area.
