Last year I found a place on the web called expedition traders. He sold african curios as well as gun cases and felt lined hides. The site has not been accesible for some time. He was located in Georgia, and I had is phone number and talked a few times with him. I seem to have misplaced his number. Does anyone know if he is still in business and how to get in touch with him?

If not does anyone know of some good places to get such items?

thornell,

Contact Chantelle at our San Antonio office. She runs the curio end of the business and may have what you need. chantelle@safaritrackers.com

There is a business located in Bogart, GA called MBARE, Ltd. Their stuff is pretty artsey fartsey. Could this be the place? My wife bought a bottle opener, letter opener, candle sticks and other items all made out of springbuck horn from them that were pretty nice.

I did some Google searching and found this:

http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQfgtpZ1QQfrppZ25QQsassZexpeditiontraders

Under the About Me section of the member profile there is reference to www.expeditiontraders.com so it's probably the same person/company. I didn't see a phone number listed but there is a "Contact Me" link under the Ebay member profile. (You have to be a member of Ebay to use the Contact Me link.)

Hope this helps....

Mark, I have not ordered from Chantelle, but my father has and was extremely satisfied. I will check out the website.

Jorge, No that is not the place but I will check it out.

Bob, I think you have found him on ebay. The link you posted is his site, but is down.

I had talked with him last year by phone after his site was down. He closed because he was going on a month long hunt, but has never got it back up.

Thanks for the help guys.

one problem with chantelle is the freight - it cost me about $50 in freight to get a pair of longgrass shooting sticks for 85
