Have to thank Todd for posting his video, which lit a fire under me to load up some of my video.

I had Justin film my first trip to Africa, seems like yesterday, but its already been technically 2 years.

Stars aligned and I was able to get Buzz as a PH, hope to someday return for an ele so I was thrilled. Only a 10 minute clip of my Buff from Day 4-5 I think it was.

We tracked Dugga Boys every day and were in very close multiple times. Theyre such a true sport to hunt, especially tracking them in the thick stuff. It was everything I hoped and thought it would be.

Thankyou so much sharing that special memory. Just fantastic. After a few solid days on Buff tracks thers's nothing like having it all come together and finally walking up on the downed bull. Your bull. It's something you will always remember. I think the experience is so powerful it's why hunters go back to do it again. There is something just so "Africa" about it.
I hope indeed Ele is next for you. And if you have the chance to track Buff again, well.....

Hunting.... it's not everything, it's the only thing.

Excellent bit of footage and shooting on your part. Looked like a solid heart shot. I would have called him 40 if it at all matters?

I think that hat ended up in the Zambezi a day or two later hahaha. We fished it out but I think he’s onto a new one these days!!

Andrew, thanks, we saw one or two 40”+ dugga boys in the days leading up but Buzz knew for my first buff I was a fan of hard bosses and good drop. I love seeing the curl. The other 40”ers all went straight out and up and I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder hahaha. This guy went 37-38” if I remember. And he was with 4 others. Two youngsters, a scrum cap and another good bull. I’d take that scrum cap any other day too!!!

And it was a heart shot. Nice big hole for the .375 hh and the petals shrapnelled off and should of seen the lungs behind the heart. Complete mess. And wouldn’t you know it, he ran UPHILL and into the thicker stuff before going down 100 yards later.

Thanks guys for the comments, and Saeed, AR has been such a resource along the way, one which lead me to CMS. I’m just happy to give back and hopefully it helps and encourages others just as it did for me.

Inches aside that is a very handsome buffalo mount and you did well considering it was a difficult shot.

I have seen heart shot buff get up on approach and had to finish them again!

As said, "...proper buffalo hunt." Could feel the emotion, waiting for that buff to stand.

Nice camera work in tight quarters.

Hi Adam

What a great reminder of an amazing 10 days hunting!! It was the real deal. You need to add in a few minutes of the tiger and the Guinnea fowl on the same day to get the Zambezi Macnab- not many people in this world have done that!!! Looking forward to the return match for the tuskless! Cheers Buzz
