Just returned from an incredible safari in the Northern Zambian territories. Unfortunately, the venue cannot be named because of backlash from the antis but I am going to offer a group hunt here later in the season and can offer Sable, Eland, Lechwe, and a host of interesting animals in a unique setting. This Sitatunga bull was taken on the last morning and is the biggest ever recorded here.

Sounds like it was an incredible experience, Andrew. Looking forward to your upcoming group hunt posting, and hope one of my “target” animals is on your offering.

Yeah, what a sitatunga. Neat to see.

Hope he spread his genes all over the area!

Magnificent sitatunga Andrew. I fondly remember my trek up to Tondwa to hunt sitatunga there... such a special antelope! Is that Lake Tanganyika?

On the plains of hesitation lie the bleached bones of ten thousand, who on the dawn of victory lay down their weary heads resting, and there resting, died.

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with Kings - nor lose the common touch...
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son!

Agree, Been to Tondwa twice, both time with a young Terry Von Rooyen. It felt to me like a Garden of Eden.

Good memories there.

A horse backhunt in Africa would have been this old cowboys dream, today the flight would kill me..My Last Tanzania hunt was a struggle so I retired to a gentleman rancher, the friggen cardiologist caused me to sell my livestock and horses and no more roping, shoot'en cow elk in the alfalfa and whitetail from a stand in Texas.

It ain't the best but by damn it will do! old

That looks phenomenal. I'm just curious, would there be good waterfowling to be had as well?

We do cats in the adjoining Luangwa Valley. This area is basically a wetland. For next year I will be selling extended safaris which will incorporate this venue. Sable, Sitatunga, and lechwe are the main attraction.
