MARK H. YOUNGCircus Circus '10
I just booked with Circus Circus for the '10 SCI show. Rate is $84 per night and you pay nothing until January and then only one night's fees until you arrive. This is in the main tower with access to everything that the Silver Legacy, ElDorado and Circus Circus can provide without even going outside. If you can't afford the Atlantis this in my opinion is the only way to go.
Call 1-800-648-5010 and use Reference code ISCIPRE.

surestrikeI've got to tell you guys I spend a lot of time at the CC in Reno as it is our layover hotel. I am not impressed. Then again Reno is Reno and that's about all I've got to say about that.

larryshoresThe hotels in are not the best.

Larry SellersOur group has stayed at CC , El Dorado or the Silver Legacy for some half dozen years now. The rooms are adequate, nothing fancy, but clean and the service is good. We spend on the average of 8 hours a day in the room (sleeping) shower and off to the show or someplace else. I just want to rent the room for a few days not buy it. It's nice like Mark indicated that you have all three hotels under one roof with the shuttle coming right to the Legacy door.
Just looking back and we paid $488.00 each this year for four nights lodging and airfare from Albuquerque. That's only $122.00 per day for the whole package. Can't begin to drive for that price and can't go to Dallas and stay four nights with airfare any cheaper.
It appears that some here have to have the biggest and best when it comes to accomodations, and that's cool, but this setup suites us just fine.

Use Enough GunI used Priceline.com to get the condo suites at the Grand Sierra Resort and paid less than my buddy who had his secretary book his rooms. He paid nearly double. I was on the 26th floor in the condo suite and he was "in steerage" on the 4th.

It pays to use some of these services on the web.

Scott KingHaving just stayed at CC- Reno for the convention I would say I found the room adequate but nothing more. However the dining at the steakhouse in CC was outstanding!
Perhaps if as the discerning SCI attendee you require 5 star accomodation in the room upon your return, (given your drunken- altered state of consciousness,) the CC may not be for you.
On the other hand, if after a fine dining experience in one of Reno's finer establishments you are satisfied with a pillow and clean sheets, as am I, the CC seems suitable.

MARK H. YOUNGThey put samwise AKA Bob Clark in the back "40" where all Canucks are housed. Hell they even have to take a train to get to the main hotel. Wait until he gets his credit card bill and finds out how many zeros they left off his quote.

samwiseYes but the walk to meet up with Mark for supper sharpened me up. The walk back after supper and drinks was so long I now feel ready for another Safari!

FrostbitI wouldn't recommend the Sand's Regency unless you like second hand smoke and exposure to the local indigenous species.

That's what I get for being a cheapskate!!

Idaho Sharpshooterthree nights at the Sierra Grand, plus free shuttle to SCI every half hour from 7 to 7; $165!!
I just slept there, so it was more than adequate for me.
