I will be at the SCI Tue thru Sun staying at Mandalay Bay. I was wondering what are some of your favorite places to eat here?

Thanks

It's Las Vegas, not Reno. There are more nice restaurants inside the Mandalay Bay than there are in all of Reno.

And if you are like me, avoid anything with a famous chef!

WVFred: Haven't eaten at Mandalay much... I had a fairly disappointing dinner at Charlie Palmer Steak in Mandalay a few years back. Maybe it was a bad night. If you want to get "out and about" the wife and I go to Vegas pretty frequently... we love and continually patronize:

Smith And Wollensky Steakhouse, in the Venetian

Canyonita (Mexican), also at Venetian

Hugo's Cellar, downtown. We haven't been here in a while but was always a super classy joint. They bring a rose out for the ladies at the table and prepare your salad at the table. Steaks, rack of lamb... Man, I need to get in there the next time my wife and I are in town.

Gordon Ramsay Fish/Chips in the Linq Promenade. This is a grab/go with limited seating inside & out. It's ridiculously good for a reasonable price.

Mon Ami Gabi at Paris. Cool place with lots of patio seating right on the strip. Popular for brunch.

I will second Smith and wollensky's! The wife and I had an excellent meal the last time we were there, we had an incredible dry-aged ribeye!

Battista’s Hole in the Wall. Comes with all you can drink house wine. The buffet at the Wynn.

OH, yes, good call: We have been meaning to get to Battista's... walked past it 88 times.

With this recommendation, we'll definitely try it next time!

Perhaps I read this incorrectly. I thought the request was for Mandalay Restaurants only.

Here are some more:

Michael's Gourmet Room- My favorite restaurant in the world. High end Italian.

STK- I can't remember if it in Aria or Cosmopolitan. Really cool, great steak house.

Mortons- a reliable chain.

Ruth's Chris- Also a reliable chain.

Joe's Stone Crab- A sister to the famous place in Miami South Beach.

Kassi Beach House- In the Virgin. Great food and a happening place to be if you are into that.

The Palm- another chain that I absolutely love.

Capital Grille- Another chain that in excellent.

Eiffel Tower- Another of my favorites. Incredible food. Outstanding view. Book early.

In n Out Burger- fantastic hamburgers. Lines are long. One never knows who will be in line.

That ought to give you a few. I have been going to Vegas routinely for about 25 years.

Nice List Larry.... sounds like In/Out Burger has over shadowed White Castle!! Cool

We are a fan of "quality junk food" and we follow Guy Fieri's visits, but Guy also has a restaurant of his own, Guy's VEGAS KITCHEN in the LINQ Hotel. We have always had great meals in his CA Hometown restaurants when we have been on the road!!

Guy has visited many Las Vegas Diners, Drive Ins and Dives... you can google that for a link, the one local friend's enjoy is:
John Mull's Meats and Road Kill Grill, a well-known BBQ restaurant and always busy!! I love good BBQ... outdoor patio, and take out

We will be joining one of our cruising friends, who are locals, at ITALIAN AMERICAN CLUB, a very old Las Vegas upscale restaurant, not expensive.

LOOKING FORWARD TO SEEIN Y'ALL!!

One of my favorites always has been Baazar Meat, pricey but well worth it.

The wife and I love Hugo’s Cellar downtown for that old school Vegas vibe. For casual daytime fare, it’s hard to beat Eataly at the Park MGM. So much selection. Counter service.
