I am sure that many of us remember a great member who used to post here quite a bit, LV Eric.

Anyway, it has been a while since he posted and the last I heard he was trying to recover from back surgery to do another hunt in Africa. Has anyone heard from him?

Also, Eric sent out a VHS video of his 2002 Zimbabwe hunt to quite a few of us. Has anyone converted this to a more modern format? I just watched it for the first time in a few years, talk about a unique video. Anyway, my VHS player is dying and I know most of you have trashed your VHS machines, I would hate to think this footage will be lost to time.

Does anyone have the technology to convert this to some other format.

Hunting in Africa is an adventure. The number of variables involved preclude the possibility of a perfect hunt. Some problems will arise. How you decide to handle them will determine how much you enjoy your hunt.

Just tell yourself, "it's all part of the adventure." Remember, if Robert Ruark had gotten upset every time problems with Harry
Selby's flat bed truck delayed the safari, Horn of the Hunter would have read like an indictment of Selby. But Ruark rolled with the punches, poured some gin, and enjoyed the adventure.

Yep, I can convert both NTSC (US system) and PAL (Europe system) from VHS to DVD.
