Yesterday I received the trophies from my 2015 hunt in Zambia with Leon Kachelhoffer. We hunted on Andrew Baldry's concession, Royal Kafue.

Mike Borman did the taxidermy work in Lusaka and took care of packing and shipping. Well Worldwide received the shipment in Houston.

The roan is a pedestal mount, the puku a should mount, the buffalo a skull mount, and I had the back skins from the puku and roan tanned. The buffalo skull and puku skin are in my office at work and the remaining animals are in my home.

The pedestal was built by a local (to me) cabinet maker. His quality is as good or better than any I have seen.

Overall I am very pleased with the taxidermy work. Everything was done as requested and the quality is very good. The crating was very good, nothing was damaged and everything was in the shipment.

That's great work, Mike. Andrew has a very good area and it was a pleasure to both hunt with Andrew at Royal Kafue and deal with Mike Borman on my trophy work/shipment.

+1

Congrats Mike. It was a pleasure sharing camp with you and Andrew on that safari. Glad to see you got your trophies home safe & sound! Both Mike & Andrew are professionals.

Mike I am glad that I could help out and that you got in some good hunting and animals with Leon.

I was in that long thick grass last year where you took your buff and here I had to kill an elephant. Nasty bit of country.

Glad your trophies all turned out fine.

Surefire7, While setting up my trophies, I was thinking about you, Mrs. Surefire, and the wonderful leopard you took. I still appreciate you guys working with us and sharing the concession. Next time you need to come boat riding. I will bring Andrew a new propeller so we can outrun the hippo, the one on the motor was in pretty bad shape.

Andrew, that is a difficult area to hunt, but lots of fun. Tell Leon I said hello if you see him. It was very good to see operators working together to help out a client.

Will do Mike and it looks as if the community wants me to take on a substantial block of unexplored land across the river. Riddled with swamps. It maybe worth a poke around here with a big stick.

Leon and I are currently toying with a remote Luangwa concession at the moment and will be looking to sell some affordable Leopard and Buff. The area has been abandoned for some years but abuts the game rich Park.

So lots going on here mate.

Excellent mounts, Mike. Congratulations.

Did you write up a hunt report for this? I don't recall reading it.

On the plains of hesitation lie the bleached bones of ten thousand, who on the dawn of victory lay down their weary heads resting, and there resting, died.

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with Kings - nor lose the common touch...
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son!
- Rudyard Kipling

Life grows grim without senseless indulgence.

Thanks, Mike. Not only did I apparently read it, but also commented on it!
