Moderators bear with me this is not a regular For Sale ad....If it suits better I will post it in classified as well I was in my vault getting a gun out to take to Dallas tomorrow for a friend......While in there I came across a gun that may be of interest to someone. I had almost forgotten about it. A few (time flies) years back in this decade I hunted with a fine PH in a Great Concession in Zim. I was very impressed with the young "Appy' in his employ, son of a an old farming family who were victims of the land grab. He was a bit "undergunned" and as an addition to my regular tip/gratuity I funded the purchase of a decent mid-bore for him that his father had found.... Back home I started to search the net for a big bore that might suit him, with the intention I would substitute the gun for my regular DG rifle and then leave it behind upon my departure when next I hunted with them.... I was successful in getting a decent piece at a low price that was meant to flesh out my plans. Unfortunately the reform has put the PH and his family out of business essentially and the young appy has sought other means to make a living..... Windy start to a tale that boils down to.... I have a .458 Win built on a VZ 24 that functions perfectly, New England sights, and one of Jim Kobe's fine two position safety , several other features..... My DG and mid bore battery are pretty well established and have been for a while..... If anyone has a need for something like this I'll stick it under the seat and bring it to DSC in the morning.....I'll sell it for little of nothing or if someone can convince me of some deserving hunter that could really put it to use over there it would possibly be gratis.... Thanks, Paul

Thanks for the responses here and in classified Gentlemen.... The Zim. fellows all expressed concern at trying to return with the rifle, so I wasn't able to get it into the field that way. I held the rifle for the first chap who responded, and upon seeing it when he got the show, we made a quick deal at what I think he found to be a a price much in his favor.... So a young Texas has his first big bore to learn/practice with ,and he expressed his intentions to make his first dangerous game hunt next year. Good ending as far as I am concerned, he has a rifle, and I have one less item for my heirs to dispose of.... Good Hunting to all of you in '17, and I enjoyed catching up with some members on here at DSC

Gentlemen people like the example above is what makes the rank and file at Saeeds AR and members of DSC so successful. The above is what all hunters should be, HUNTERS FOR HUNTERS it doesn't get better that that! Congratulations Mel on your very generous act to the young man! We need more folks like you! ...................................................................... ....Mac >>>===(x)===> MacD37, ...and DUGABOY1 DRSS Charter member "If I die today, I've had a life well spent, for I've been to see the Elephant, and smelled the smoke of Africa!"~ME 1982 Hands of Old Elmer Keith
