After working for six months in Zimbabwe five years ago i am finally going back next year 2011 to hunt on the Save.

There were ment to be four of us going, my girlfriend and me and my dad and his girlfriend but my dad has had to pull out so it will just be the two of us. We will be hunting with Roger Whittall Safaris on Humani for Plainsgame and maybe a Croc.

We fly out on the 30th June 2011 at 5:30pm from Gatwick and fly direct to Harare( i am not taking a rifle)and land at 6:00am the following morning then drive to Camp. I have done both and i like driving more.

On my wish list is Kudu, Wildebeest, Bushbuck, Warthog, Klipspringer, Bushpig, Impala, Duiker, Jackal and maybe a Croc.

I can't wait to get back there. Only 10 months to go!!!

Mike

With kind regards
Mike

Good luck with your hunt. You will have a great hunt on Humani. Who will be your PH? If you see Peter Wood tell him the Pommy says hi.

Mike,

Our PH's will be Barry and Gareth...can't remember the last names. They are young guys and have just been with RWS for a couple years.

Air Zimbabwe operates a B767 between Europe and Harare. These aircraft are maintained by Boeing in the States.I have flown this route often and have nothing but compliments for them to be honest. They were on time, flight was comfy, food good and most of all....all my luggage arrived in one piece every time. My last 3 flights on SAA luggage was late every time and 2 pieces were permanently lost and still waiting for compensation Mad killpc

Same colour as some pilots with any other airline I guess................. Confused
I know what you are getting at, but I wonder would you refuse to get on a BA or Delta or SAA or Virgin flight if the Captain was Black???? ........just wondering.

Will you be hunting with Thierry again? I have hunted with him a couple of times and he has also been over to say with me in England. I took him driven bird shooting in Wales a couple of times. All i can say he is a lot better with a rifle than he is with a shotgun Smiler I hope to see him next year.

I have flown many African airlines in the past, international and internal, out of necessity, I might add.

Any landing you can walk away from is a good one. Wink

If you are going to drink water on the flights, make sure the bottle seals are intact. beer
