Wow truly fantastic animals and it is great to know that they still are out there. I hope they always remain so... On the plains of hesitation lie the bleached bones of ten thousand, who on the dawn of victory lay down their weary heads resting, and there resting, died. If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue, Or walk with Kings - nor lose the common touch... Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it, And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son! - Rudyard Kipling Life grows grim without senseless indulgence.

Photo #2 (from top) and #6 look like an old bull named Babu (I think)?? in the Lerai Forest, Ngorongoro, Tanzania. photo #7 and bottom one looks like a old bull called Muski. also Ngorongoro. he has shorter left tusk & no hair on his tail. I have many photos of these big crater bulls. I'll try to find & post sometime.

Tanz PH, Yes those old gentlemen are from Ngorongoro but as for the names, I prefer not to give a pet name to such noble wild creatures but that is just me. The first pic was photographed two days ago in another area so def still alive!!! "...Them, they were Giants!" J.A. Thank you Mich! What fabulous old gentlemen! Thank God there are people like Dan Friedkin and organizations like Friedkin Foundation out there protecting these world treasures. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ J. I wish everyone the world over had the dominating spirit that motivates Texans.– Billy Clayton, Speaker of the Texas House No state commands such fierce pride and loyalty.
