I finished my last hunt in the Makuti Safari area of Zimbabwe with CM Safaris at the end of October last year. The trophies from this hunt were delivered to my door yesterday, only nine months after this hunt finished, which is got to be some kind of record time. It was a big help to only have Euro mounts and a relatively small order of one buffalo, a duiker, a waterbuck and two baboon skulls that were turned into bookends. I am very happy with how they turned out.

So I want to thank CM Safaris, Taxidermy Enterprises in Bulawayo, Maple freight in Zim, Spherical freight in RSA and finally Coppersmith for all the import paperwork and delivery to my door. I will now give a breakdown of the costs of just the taxidermy portion of this hunt.

Dip/pack/delivery to taxidermist $ 600
Taxidermist 709
Delivery Harare to Joburg 436
Delivery Joburg to LAX 1,391
Import/delivery to my door 1,095
------

Total $ 4,231

Well good for you!
While I would again use Taxidermy Enterprise for Cats---outstanding job.....somehow, some where between Bulawayo and USA, two Buff skulls and flat skins were lost....my best Buff to date....all blame each other---SAA, Maple and TE....at least they lost the right crate! Other two had my Lion and my Leopard!

How do they lose a crate that big? Two buff skulls and capes take up some serious room. Did you get any reimbursement from any of the parties? I don't mean to rub salt in your wounds and am sorry for your loss.

I hunted with Martin Pieters in June 2011 and had the skull and skin in the USA in December of 2011. The shoulder mount of my Buffalo was hanging on my wall on March 15th 2012.
