Hi all,

Gatoboro is going to bring one of the ph's some components for his 416 Rigby in CZ now I was wondering about the BarnesX as they are so long will it give any troubles in the CZ or should he rather leave it and get going with the other bullets he has ordered ? Troubles being seating in the mag or a compressed load ?

Any help from anyone ?

They seem to work OK in the 416 as you have a lot of room in that big case...A lot of my clients use them in the 416's, even the 416 Rem.....

My CZ loves them. I hope yours does as well. "D"

I loaded them with good results in a M70. 79gr. of R-15 and Fed 215M gave 2460fps. The last PH I hunted with said that in the previous safari season 2 clients that used the 400X had shot through their buffalo and into another with the shot killing both.

I shared a hunting camp in Alaska with a guy using a 416 Rigby CZ. He had no trouble at all with his Barnes x bullets, the gun shot well and he had no feeding problems. Slightly off topic, I have used x bullets in my 416 Rem for some time with great results. I have one shot kills on a Cape buff (ran a little way) and a very large Eland bull which dropped like a stone. I have also used it on a variety of plains game. My favorite load has been 74 gr. of 4064 out of a Blaser (which I am going to replace)
