Last week was my first experience with the new firearms procedure. Have been through 3 times with the old procedure. No Problems- Lickty Split. I posted a trip report a few months ago and described the SAPS cop as wearing a wife beater T-shirt, flip flops and overtly asking for $$$. This time I used Air2000. I only checked my rifle case, so I walked through passport control (1st one in line off the flight) then breezed through customs, and waited about 10 minutes for my rifle case to arrive at the SAPS office outside of passport control/customs. All cops were uniformed and very efficient. Who knows what will happen next time, but this time everything was fine. ______________________________ "Are you gonna pull them pistols,...or whistle Dixie??" Josie Wales 1866

Glad to here, I am sure mnay concerned citizens in Sa were isntrumental in voicing their opinion. I for one wrote to the supervisor of the JIA SAPS unit to express the concerns I had heard on this forum and from others. Thanks
