I hunted Maxwell Duiker and Royal Antlope in May of this year. In a couple of hours I will be picking up my finished mounts from Marcus Zimmerman's shop. WOW I am one happy camper. Oh yea I delivered the hides to Marcus Aug 17th. Now if I could only get my trophies from 2011 from RSA.

That's fantastic. Five months from bush to mounted trophy is truly amazing. Any pix of those little guys? I'm at present having a red duiker, blue duiker and suni from a Mozambique safari all mounted together and am very much looing forward to getting them home.

I agree completely! The shortest time to get my trophies from Africa is one year, and a second year for the taxidermy to be finished!

I think if I ever get back to Africa, which at my age and health condition seems doubtful, I think I will do only a few Euro mounts and take lots of pictures, and spend the saved trophy money on having video done!

DOJ, congratulations on your trophy mounts coming home so soon!

If someone will give me an email address I will email the pics and you can post them here.

Marcus Zimmerman t/a Zimmerman Wildlife in Martinsburg, Pa. about 25 miles from home. He is probably one of the very best taxidermists in the world. He, his brother (Ken) and his son are the only people in the shop. When I delivered my trophies he was (among many others) doing a mount with a Lioness taking down a Cape Buffalo with a tree on the right side and a large male Lion standing watching the activity. He is a Menonite and takes his work serious. You could eat lunch on the floor of his shop. As he said they are not overwhelmed right now so I got my work quicklly. There were only about a half dozen pieces in process when I was there yesterday an maybe 100 unstarted pieces. He doesn't do shows or advertise as word of mouth keeps them busy. He is probably best known amoung sheep hunters.

I don't think he has a web site, here is his phone # 814-793-2821. I did a search and you can see some of his work on Tohickon eye glass's web site.

I was proud to provide his first Royal Antelope.

Tuesday the 20th of November I picked up my finished taxidermy from November 2009! I would say you did good!

Six months, that really fast. It took nine months from when I shot my buff to hanging it on the wall and I thought that that was great.
