Looking forward to a Namibian plains game hunt followed by a trip to the Caprivi. I would like to hunt hippo and croc there and fish. I would appreciate your suggestions for outfitters and best time before I get to the SCI show. Thanks,

Dave

I would second the recommendation for Karl S.
He knows the area well and is in and out of Vic Falls all the time and could help you there as well.

He would be on my short list for any hunting in Namibia.

I know both of them and you won't go wrong with either. Both are first rate.

I hunted buffalo with Vaughan Fulton's Classic Safaris in the Caprivi and would do so again without hesitation.

Hate to hear Vaughn might not be in business anymore.

Another possibility, but he may be hard to find, as he focuses on European clients, is Allan Cilliers. I've come to know Allan and his family -- his son Wayne is also a Namibian PH -- and they are real fine folks. My disagreement with Allan is that he does not like brain shots on elephant -- for the client -- probably because of his experience with European clients.

But he had a good area on the Kwando some years back, which I heard he lost, but I hear he has a new area. Knowing Allan, it will hold big ivory. Might check it out. I've thought about it since the Okavongo closed.
