My wife and I really enjoyed LU-5 with the Luwego River forming one of the boundaries.
It had varied riverine, heavy forested, and volcanic outcropping that made it very enjoyable to drive around. You never knew what was around the next bend in the road. We had lion, hippo, Liv. Eland, elephant, Buff, Nyasa wildebeest, Bushbuck,Zebra, warthog, Leopard, and Impala to keep us busy.
Crocs were plentiful if you baited.
The sunsets over the Luwego River were picture perfect. Adam Clements and Safaritrackers have a great block to enjoy.

I have only hunted R2 but the Ruaha river runs right in front of camp and the scenery is outstanding..
Returning next year for another 21 day safari...

Mike who hunts the unit? What sort of game do they have? I guess a good cross section if you are planning 21 days! Best of luck.

I liked R-1 and R-2 the best. Hunted from a camp in K-4 where the Kilombero was much wider and slower running, so abundant crocs and hippo.
