If you are, you really ought to try to find time to visit Sabi Rifles in that town. I was in there yesterday and was given another tour of the workshop & gun store - The quality of their custom rifles is phenemenal - esp for the prices they charge. - So give yourself a treat and ask for a guided tour.
I'll be there in a couple of weeks. Tell me more about their operation and the rifles that they offer. How hard would it be to purchase and get one out of the RSA to the USA?
No problem at all - they regularly export all over the world and their work is excellent. I guess waiting time will depend on what kind of rifle you order.
They made my DG rifle for me a few years ago and I'm delighted with it.
you can contact them direct at wwwsabirifles.com where you will also see images of their work and as I live nearby, please let me know when your coming and I'll try to meet you there - it would be nice to meet another AR member.......
I made it a point to visit the shop after a hunt with Danie van Graan at Engonyameni in '99. They had some interesting rifles in their "back room", and were quite happy to show things off.
I recommend the visit as well.
