To all our American friends - We (the rest of the world) feel your pain and your anger. Our hearts go out to those who are missing or have lost friends and family.

Rikkie-
My hope is that now that the worst has happened, the entire free world will come together and help us find and punish these animals.

Pete E, Rikki and others who have expressed similar sentiments here and in other places:

We appreciate it greatly, a person or a nation can not have too many friends. This is a human tragedy, but it is not a disaster to the American syStem. I firmly believe that we will come out of it stronger and more tempered, as it were, than before. And I can say almost without reservation, which is difficult when you are discussing anything that has to do with politician's actions, that America and, most importantly, American citizens have had enough and that anyone, anywhere, who had anything to do with this will wish they had never thought of it just before we kill them. Let's hope this attitude can be broadened to include all terrorists ANYWHERE.
DEATH TO TERRORISM AND TERRORISTS. ANYWHERE, ANYTIME, ANYHOW.

The horror is on a scale too large to comprehend. My condolences to all who have suffered and lost loved ones.

The vengeance of the American people must be swift and decisive. Wipe these vermin off the face of the earth. You have the resources, now summon the will.

As Winston Churchill said "Action....Action this day!!!"

Blessings

Friends,

I've have just seen the news on CNN after returning from Mozambique - it was with utmost shock and horror that I watched the events, I cannot find the words to express my feelings.

May God bless America and all her people at this time and guide her response.

Our condolences to the victims, their families and friends, and the American people at large. Be sure that friends all over the world are with you in thought and prayer. Within hours after the tragedy, prayer groups were organized throughout various communities in South Africa, and well continue to support you thru the days and weeks ahead.

May you and your leaders make wise decisions, and act in ways that enhance the quality of life that youve traditionally led as a free and open society. May this tragedy serve to unite, rather than divide, the nation that leads the free world. God bless America.

Thank you very much for your support and sympathies. They are truly appreciated.

With all due respect, however, I personally do not expect the rest of the World to think that they will hold OUR coat while WE go fight.

This is not an American problem. This is a WORLD problem. This is an ARAB problem.

Saddam Hussein - Iraq - as well as Sudan, Libya, Syria, Iran and the Talaban in Afghanistan are probably all involved.

The Terrorists are a loose knit group with far ranging goals. The goals are not only directed towards America for support of Israel but also include some factions who are also against the Arab Kings and Emirates in addition to the Palestinian Vs. Jewish faction.

I would remind some of our allies that the terms and conditions of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization are - AN ATTACK AGAINST ONE MEMBER IS AN ATTACK AGAINST ALL MEMBERS!

I would remind SEATO - South East Asia Treaty Organization that - AN ATTACK AGAINST ONE MEMBER IS AN ATTACK AGAINST ALL MEMBERS.

I believe that the Congress of the United States will formally make a declaration of WAR. I see it as the THIRD WORLD WAR - not the third American war.

ALL NATIONS are called to arms. Join us. Be our Allies.

Kendal,

It looks like NATO is going to suppport America at this time while I have not heard what action SEATO is considering. I would not expect NATO to do anything less.

However,I do think that the American military needs to strike back first and to spill blood for the American people...I think this should be a matter of honour....

Public reaction in the UK is backing Tony Blair to back the USA...we are ready to fight
along side our American allies as we have in the past to defeat a common foe. Even as we speak, I believe our forces are preparing, targeting and getting ready to strike.

Thank you to our friends for your support, my only fear is we will not fight this war against the entire enemy , and , will only make a token strike or two against a country like Afhganistan.

I think ALL terrorist Haorboring States belong in our sight's. We cannot leave this war for our children to fight ; We must fight it now , we must eliminate the Political Entities that harbor and give aid to these Bastards.

Im afraid I already see wavering by our Political Leader's, a "Congressional vote authorizing the Use of Force", give me a Break!...........10

Thank you friends from all over the world. America will recover from this cowardly act and retribution will be had. There is a state of rage here that I have never seen. Somebody will pay dearly for this. Thank you again for all of your thoughts and prayers. Tom

Kendal,

You hit the nail on the head. This is NOT an American thing - it wrenches the gut of every thinking person anywhere and it is a slap in the face of freedom itself.

I would expect every free nation in the world to support the USA in wiping this scourge out, roots and all, once and for all. If it means digging out my 'browns' and webbing - so be it. I'd be glad to help, although I somehow doubt that'll be necessary

An old Swazi I know, summed the situation up such (translated): "The Communist has stepped on the tail of the snake. He will now eat shit".
