Just received my trophies from my May 08 hunt. Just did European mounts. Are there any special things to do to prolong the life of the mounts i.e. wax/polishes etc. to either use or avoid.

Did a search of this site and Goggle and came up empty.

Not an authority but I do know smoking will cause them to yellow and dust to adhere causing even more "dirty" apearance. I'd select a spot out of direct sunlight or too close a heating duct. Wide variation in temp and humidity may result in cracks from expansion/contraction. Aside from that I'd guess a simple dusting will suffice to keep them looking decent.

I had Millers trophy room spray all my european mounts to guard against bugs forever. They charge 30 US for each european mount.
