Decently written article until they got to the buffoon from the NGO. He postured and rambled, but didn't state anything meaningful as a proposed plan to replace hunting with something more beneficial. He simply implied they should consult the community?? Typical: I don't like what you're doing, so do something else, but do something I want, but I can't tell you what I want.....

Fairly good but it leaves out a major problem that Botswana is dealing with and which will eventually overshadow trophy hunting…

Botswana has way more elephants than their habitat can support long term. They’re destroying habitat at an unsustainable rate and, at some point, a mass die off is highly likely. This is never talked about in these articles.

Stating only 4 or 5 hundrends ele a year is a complete non sense and away from any elemental management of populations. Same as Zim.

SE Angola would be a great relief valve for Botswana elephants..but I don’t think the security is there for them.

On our recent cruise all the way around Africa and back from Barcelona, we spent time in Angola and Ghana. I was very surprised by the infrastructure in both countries!! There may well be an opportunity for Elephant management in both countries!
