great pictures.

plus some good trophies.

Are you positive "Walter" was able to walk after the kongoni or did you fill in for him.

Sure, you Throw a BBQ party and the crew on AR is looking for their invite...

We got a bit of rain this morning. Might be part of the cyclone, despite the fact we are so far inland.
Nothing serious.
I shot a bush pig and a kongoni.
Walter just arrived after spending a day chasing buffalo.
Anders and Thabit are still out.

Your baits attract a bunch of different critters: Lions, Hyenas, Leopards, Bushpigs, even elephants. Despite all the Leopard pics, I have a tough time spotting any nuts.

Great job of scouting locations to place a good bait..

Bait was placed in a good/great location. A lot of action, now you need to find one old enough.

Anders shot a warthog.
We had non stop thunder last night, and hardly any sleep.
No sound from any of the night animals at all, except right now our own camp cockrel calling everyone to wake up.
Our Viking friends are having a bit of fun.
Saying they are two kids in a candy store is an understatement.
Their game scout is a lion killer.
And he has the scars to prove it.
Apparently he was sent to a village to sort a cattle raiding lion.
He was given a 375 H&H.
He shot the lion, but not killing it.
The lion attacked him, caused a few wounds on his arms and stomach before being dispatched by another game scout.

Poachers cutting down bait at night? Bold, ignorant or just stupid? That's going to cost them in the long run.

We are back in camp at 3.

Checked some baits, non were visited, except one which has a resident one eyed lioness.

She was lying down by the bait, so we replaced it for her.

We are hoping she might call a boyfriend.

Shot a buffalo, and we had a strange happening.

He ran off a few yards and dropped, on the side wherer he was hit.

On the other shoulder, we could see the the bullet half way out sticking from him, tail end first!

We are using the DJI Mavic 2 Zoom.

Much better than the mini.

Also the 2X zoom comes in very handy.

That is correct, Saeed...
..."but" did you need an permission for that "big drohne"?
This is the good with the Mini II (they are under 250 gr. and so they are permission-free in the wild).

Best wishes.
F.

I would say, it is the best then you buy an bridge-camera. Great for hunting, not to mutch weight, good zoom, good to use in light, pp.
Mostly from Sony or Panasonic (Leica).

Great looking buff, Saeed. Mature, and even ancient, bulls. Bizarre bullet performance on that last one.

And such a wide variety of game!

I like the looks of Anders's rifle. Is that a .458 caliber Mauser '98 of some kind?

Super photos, too!

Many thanks for sharing.

Gun Control - A theory espoused by some monumentally stupid people; who claim to believe, against all logic and common sense, that a violent predator who ignores the laws prohibiting them from robbing, raping, kidnapping, torturing and killing their fellow human beings will obey a law telling them that they cannot own a gun.

The Viking and German teams came back with nothing.
Both chased buffalo all day.
There are more bulls on their own here than in the Selous, and they are of course older.
Our cameras are are Sony RX100 MK7 and Sony RX10 MK 4.

Fantastic cameras.

Mike, this is most definitely NOT bizzare performance from our bullets.

It is a design factor for us to recover them.

Going as far as to have a built in function to turn around so it is only held in the buffalo by the expansion.

Love the buffalo Saeed!

Are you seeing any big breeding herds or just groups of dugga bulls?

Thanks as always for including us on your adventures!!

Saeed, how many reloads do you get with each case, and how do you keep track of individual case shot cycles?

Thnx in advance!

The buffalo beat the German and Vikings yesterday.
I don't keep any tracks of my cases.
When one cracks, I change it.
This area is different to the Selous.
Incredible amount of buffalo, including so many lone dugga boys and groups of them.
Fantastic numbers of sable, duikers and reedbuck.

Hardly any impala or waterbuck or eland or wildebeast.
