I had the chance recently to spend a few days with Alister, we have had a nice visit.

He has moved on from Muchinga Adventures and is now hunting for Keith Asherwood who owns Luangwa Crocodile Safaris, the other PH with Luangwa Crocodiles is PJ Fouche. If anyone would like to get in touch with Alister while he is in the States his phone number while here is 502-533-4902 and his email is alnbushmaster@yahoo.com. He will be here in the States through the 29th of January.

Alister phoned just this morning. Was good to hear from him, thanks for passing along my request.

Sounds like his new area is a good one and I believe anyone hunting with him will do very well.

At SCI, he'll be in John Barth's Adventure Unlimited booth. Stop by and meet him.

Yep, Alister says the new place is loaded with Leopard and has good numbers of Roan. He had a great year with Johnny last year and was nearly mauled on two different occassions by wounded Leopards. Nevertheless, he had 7 leopards to get and got them all!!

JUST SPOKE TO ALISTER ALSO THE HUGH LEOPARD, NEW NUMBER 3 OR 4 FOR ZAMBIA WAS HIS AS WELL. 7 4
EST 170LBS IT WAS THE SECOND ONE THAT ALL MOST GOT HIM. HE SAY EVERYTHING IS GOOD. I WAS SICK TO HERE THIS LEOPARD WAS KILLED IN A BLIND WE BUILD AND TURNED DOWN A SMALLER CAT, WE CALLED THE JUMPER CAT. THIRD DAY I SHOT A 150LBS CAT ONLY TO DISCOVER A BIGER CAT HAD TAKEN OVER THE JUMPER CAT'S BAIT. ANYWHO GOOD FOR ALISTER AND THE HUNTER.
WE SAW THE TRACK BUT NEVER THE CAT. I WAS TAGED OUT ANYWAY.

Gary,

He and Johnny are still buddies, he just got a great opportunity to hunt a couple of fantastic areas and couldn't pass it up.

Sorry you couldn't make it up, Alister was looking forward to it. We've had a blast the past few days, shot a bunch of trap and skeet, drank a little beer, and had a chance to catch up on everything.

If you are up my way over spring break please be sure to give me a call, I'll buy the beer.

Cheers,
Andy

Thanks, Andy....would have loved to have come up and hang out. Glad to hear there aren't any hard feelings....I really like both those gents. I can certainly appreciate opportunities.....never fault a man for that.
Glad you all had fun...I may give him a call while he's stateside.
I'll keep you posted on my plans to head north.

Take care.
