The other sat phone thread running right now reminded me of a public thank you that I needed to offer. A few months ago, I needed to re-charge my Iridium SIM or risk losing a few hundred minutes of airtime. I called Able Communications in Houston and set up the re-charge....and then hurricane Ike hit. In short I called only three or four days before I needed something done and then a hurricane delayed their action until after about $400 worth of minutes went -poof- ! I just got an email from Able and it was agreed that we were both a bit at fault for the delay....but they offered to re-charge my phone (GRATIS!!!) with 300 minutes anyway. I thought that was mighty nice of them! I also think it is rare for a customer and service providor to reach an agreement like that! If anyone here needs sat phone time, I wholeheartedly recommend Able communications and Bill Donelson as a sales rep. That guy bent over backward for me!
