I'm looking for recommendations for outfits that have trophy Nayala.

My high school age son has been interested in a Nyala for a while. However all of his African hunting experience has been in the Kalahari, so no opportunities for Nyala.

Thanks for the advice.

Go Duke!!

Hi Texas Blue Devil

I have free range Nyala bulls in a 30 000ha concession.
We have 2 early season slots available. We try and avoid shooting anything less than 28" bulls so if you can spend the time to hunt the area well I am sure we could get your son the trophy of a lifetime.

Please PM me your phone number or skype ID I can call you tomorrow.
Thanks
Ian

Hi Texas Blue Devil,

We've also got some good ones...

Have been averaging 28"+ for the last 10 years.

Best regards,

Chris

Not necessarily a difficult hunt, but goodness me, they are beautiful animals. Your son has good taste. Good luck.

In mozambique i highly recommend Zambezi Delta safaris (Coutada 11 &12)& Marromeu Safaris (Coutada 10).

These also give options to the unique little critters like suni, red duiker, blue duiker, oribi.

Chris Troski has just spoken 2000 words about wisdom of contacting him about your son hunting a nyala with him! Big Grin

From the reports that have been posted here I would agree. This is wild Africa and the Nyala are free ranging.

Do I get a commission?

+1 0n Coutada 11. Mine was over 30" and several were in the 28+" range in our group. Zambezi Delta is a great outfit

Coutada 9 has really good Nyala, this year we took 2 bulls over 30". Our biggest is 31 1/2 inches so far. Lots of other great plainsgame available, free range, the big 4 present in over 1 million acre concession.

+5 on Haldane's Zambeze Delta Safaris in Moz...

Coutada 9 is exceptional for all the spiral horned animals. Kudu we average about 54", Bushbuck several 16 plus each year, Nyala most over 27" and Eland normally 32 - 36 inch on average. You should see over 100 kudu / day on most days of a safari. Warthogs 200 - 400 / day.

I would recommend Mkhuze Game Reserve in Natal with Garry Kelly Safaris, Coutada 9 with Mokore Safaris or Humani with Roger Whittall Safaris. All from personal experience.

I would second Zambeze Delta Safaris, we saw monster Nyala while on a 7 day hunt there.
