I forgot to pass on some sad news maybe you can put on the AR web site. Allen Rodgers who was the first ecologist who worked in the Selous for many years in my time and later went on to the the Univeristy in Dar then later with FAO/UN etc died recently in Kenya of cancer. He was the finest field ecologist in recent times in Africa and the only one to have studied the Selous in detail the hard way! Myself and Allen along with our mutual boss Brian Nicholson had some exciting times together! Regards, Jon.
