people ,
Jonny asked me to post the following on his behalf ..thank you !

PRESS RELEASE

For immediate release

Zambezi Hunters / Jonathan Hulme

To all concerned
Hunting is my passion its what I have loved and pursued for as long as I remember …Being a PH was something I dreamed about my whole youth ..and as soon as I left school in 1987 my first job was with Roger Whittal and then with Ian Piercy of Zambezi Hunters …

Through a series of events a few years ago things came full circle and I acquired the Zambezi Hunters name , a name I am very proud of and I began to grow my own hunting company. Alistair Pole joined me four years ago as an equal partner and his role was in the office backup and behind the scenes issues that are an important part of every company …

Through a very loyal group of friends and clients Zambezi Hunters has gone from strength to strength and has become an industry leader and producer of an incredible quality of service and hunting .

Over the last couple of years as we have grown the company I have found myself getting more and more tied down by office logistics and management , and while I have still been guiding hunts full time its with all the pressure of running the company …and the time came for me to make a choice ..

I had two options , the first was to hunt a lot less and spend a lot more time in the office .. Those of you who know me know how much I love the outdoors and I would simply die in an office environment ..

This left me one other choice ,my second choice which was to sell my shares in Zambezi hunters to Alistair and to return to the life I love and to pursue my passion , the life of a PH , pure and simple ..

To that end we have reached an agreement and I have decided to leave Zambezi Hunters , not a decision I have taken lightly , but one that I know will leave me free to hunt with a clear mind.

As for me , I will be guiding through several countries in Africa, I feel excited and look forward very much to the future and what it holds for me and my family.

During one of the sleepless nights as I tried to make up my mind I came across this passage written by another hunter……..it is entirely how I feel………..

I'm proud to be a hunter. I take the term 'professional hunter' seriously. I am not a preservationist. I am a hunter who cherishes the game I persue and understand that in Africa death is necessary for life. I know where I fit in that cycle - that is why I am there. I make no apologies for the call I have answered. I know who I am and why I do what I do. I am pure hunter. My lifestyle is as endangered as the game I pursue and the wilderness where I hunt. That endangerment comes from outside the realm of the hunter. I am so thankful for where I am and that I am able to live what I was born to do!

I look forward to many, many campfires in the future with my family , my friends and fellow hunters !

my new website www.professionalhunterservices.com is under construction and will be ready in a couple of weeks and I can be reached on jonny@professionalhunterservices.com

Thank you !

Jonathan Hulme.

I think we all know that Magwada is a hunter, not an indoors paperwork filler outer.

Personally, I'm looking forward to his debut in 2014 as a problem client with Ivan serving as the problem client's PH.

Until then, good hunting my friend.

"Peace is that brief glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading" - Thomas Jefferson

Every morning the Zebra wakes up knowing it must outrun the fastest Lion if it wants to stay alive. Every morning the Lion wakes up knowing it must outrun the slowest Zebra or it will starve. It makes no difference if you are a Zebra or a Lion; when the Sun comes up in Africa, you must wake up running......

I wish Jonathan all the best in his new venture. It is sad to be splitting up but I am excited to be taking Zambezi Hunters forwards and believe that what has happened is the best for both of us. I would like to assure all those who have booked with Zambezi Hunters that business will continue as normal and we maintain the same concessions. Jonny will have access to these concessions for his clients and I hope that we will keep a close association going forwards. He is a great hunter and an ambassador for the industry.
