A Visit With Old Friends
A Visit With Old Friends
Roy, Rene and Alan came over to visit. And as usual, we all had a great time, even with Walter trying his best to antagonize everyone.
They left yesterday, with all of us looking forward to seeing them in Tanzania late September.

ozhunterHow accurate is that little pistol that the boys are shooting?
Living the barefoot life. Now that would be tough to take!

bwanamrmThose PH's always have to be hunting something! Full body mounts on the lizards?
Seriously, it looks like a good time was had by all!

safari-lawyerLooks like good times.
Is that an air rifle Alan is shooting?

nainitalSaeed: the rifle Alan is shooting seems to be a PCP airgun. Will you kindly give us some info about it?. I´m particularly interested in the recharge chores.
Saeed,
you need to get the fella a proper LH gun for the lizzard work! That stock looks brutal!

We're going to be "gifted" with a health care plan we are forced to purchase and fined if we don't, Which purportedly covers at least ten million more people, without adding a single new doctor, but provides for 16,000 new IRS agents, written by a committee whose chairman says he doesn't understand it, passed by a Congress that didn't read it but exempted themselves from it, and signed by a President, with funding administered by a treasury chief who didn't pay his taxes, for which we'll be taxed for four years before any benefits take effect, by a government which has already bankrupted Social Security and Medicare, all to be overseen by a surgeon general who is obese, and financed by a country that's broke!!!!! 'What the hell could possibly go wrong?'

Use Enough GunLove those thumbholes!

I will post details on the air rifle tomorrow

jdollarit's a Daystate Airwolf MCT or MVT. ABSOLUTELY THE BEST AIR RIFLE MADE. I sold all my other air rifles after i bought the MCT. of course i did a bit of back sliding last month and bought a Daystate Air Ranger 80- 50% more power but non-electronic and therefore lacks the bells and whistles but an absolute hammer if you want to kill things beyond 100 yards.

Wonderful to see!
Hessa is already driving.
Walter still presides as Gunsmith Royale.
Alan is keeping his PH skills sharp.
Roy is virile, vigorous, and accurate as ever, ready to hunt cape buffalo at 9000 feet altitude.
Rene the Angel has sorted out the logistical aftermath of the last expedition, just in time for some much deserved R&R.
The Best!

Michael RobinsonSaeed, can you tell us the caliber of that air rifle?
Also, what weight pellets and what muzzle velocity?
Seems to do the job nicely on the lizards!
Mike
Wilderness is my cathedral, and hunting is my prayer.
Mike,
The pellets we use are Gamo Pro Magnum, weight is 15.43 grains, and the velocity is about 900 fps.

Balla BallaSaeed
wow those are great clear pictures.
Only problem is not clear enought for me to (determine the brand of beer) those two chaps are sculling !!
Also love the trees (shown in background) where Hessa drove Alan around the yard in her golf buggy. I have one of them here in my yard in NZ BUT cant remember the name Think it is from Acacia family ??
Tell me how large approx in acre or hectare is the ZOO or wildlife park of yours
Man those pictures of the pool are very very enticing especially as we are running into winter here in NZ
Cheers, Peter

LorenzoI also looked at the tress in the background, indeed there are some that are acacias but not sure which ones. Saeed do you have trees from all over the world ? A couple of them looks like southamericans.
Those iguanas must be fun to hunt, are they indigenous ?
Great pictures !!

Great pictures Saeed! Its heartwarming to see you guys all together with all the smiles on everyones faces.

You are very blessed with a fine group of friends.

Lorenzo:
A few Iguanas escaped from one of the cages in Saeed's zoo.
They are indigenous now.

LorenzoWhat does his neighbours think about that..?

BaxterBAny time I see Rene I shake my head at how much she looks like my grandmother (nothing implied). I mean they could be twins and it is just flat-out scary. If Rene is anything like my grandmother, Roy has his hands full ;-)
