Folks,

I've stayed in 4 diferent hotels in Dallas during the show but this OMNI in my opinion is just excellent for the show attendees. It literally takes five minutes from breakfast to entering the convention hall and you don't even have to go outdoors. The service and food were very good plus the folks seemed to be glad we were there. I just had a regular room but it had several upscale features and a private balcony large enough for a small party. I liked it very much. Might be worth considering for '13.

We also stayed at the Omni, and without a doubt, it is the place to stay.

Ever the contrarian, I stayed at the Omni this year for the first time and was not so pleased. It was nice, don't get me wrong. The Electric Mirror in the bathroom was unique and interesting. However, when I arrived on Friday and the wait to even get into the bar was an hour? The sports bar was chaos. The only restaraunt was ridiculously expensive. And the cheerleader convention, which apparently takes place at the same time based on the past two years.

I think I'll go back to the Aldolfus next year, where I usually stay in Dallas.

The mirror was the coolest. It contained a television built into the mirror.

Folks,

I will say the restaurants, bars and the coffee shop were overrun at the OMNI if you were there at peak time. Perhaps they'll get that sorted for '13. A small gratuity got us a Town Car to and from the dowtown restaurants which are very close to the OMNI. A couple of nice ones are the Palms and Y-0.

Well, Mark, I'm hoping you'll invite me to the Palms next year for one of their $49.00 steaks!!! The Y.O. was my choice for Thursday but they were having a private party. Oh, well, the Hoffbrau fit the bill just fine.

Dutch,

I'd be be happy to take you to a business dinner at the Palms. What would you like to discuss while we are there?
