Does anyone have any experience with Remington Core lock ultra bullets? I did a search and couldn’t find much, but I'm new so forgive me if this was beaten to death already. I’ve only taken two mule deer with them with perfect results and they drive tacks in my 300 Win Mag. If I do put together a plains game hunt next year I was thinking of using these. I do not reload. Thanks in advance for helping a new guy.

Before I started to reload core loks are all I used in my 300 and 30 06. They have worked well for me. I am now a fanatical devotee to Barnes X and would not use them. However if you do your part they should be fine in Africa. I think Barnes just allows more margin for error.

Fergdog,
they are relitively new and untested in the game fields, but they are a bonded core bullet and Remington sure knows how to make a bullet..I would not hesitate to use them on plainsgame....I have used the old standard Corelokt on a lot of game in my life and never had one fail me and bonding the core on them can only make the better........

If they shoot that well in your gun, go for it. Sounds like they have proven themselves so far with you on game.
