I myself have found arrowheads in the desert in Mauritania, and I met quite a few locals in Niger who showed me various such artifacts. Not to mention dinosaur bones/teeth etc.

I'm sure such things are found all over Africa.

Africans have had the use of iron and other metal implements for a long time.

You do find these sorts of things, such as flint knives in Australia from Australian Aboriginal use sometimes, as they were still a stone-age culture.

The Kalahari Bushmen still used stone arrow points didn't they? Probably some other similarly primitive cultures as well?

A different kind of "stone artifacts" are the excellent stone carvings (for tourists) which one can buy.
