I typically wear a 13 in every boot or shoe I own. In European sizes I wear a 47 or maybe a 46.

British size is typically a 12.

My Courteney hippo boots are 11 and half. They are also 11 years old.

I am about to complete an order for two pairs of Courteney Patrols.

I try to try any shoe on before purchase, but that is especially true with Courtney's. I like them a lot, but my experience is that they not always completely uniform as to size and can have other anomalies. Had one pair for instance that had a nail sticking up very slightly into the middle of my foot. Being flat footed, it was a problem. Wouldn't have been for most people.

All my Courteney shoes and boots are made according to my feet, I just fax them a drawing. So far always a perfect fit.

I've owned 2 pairs of Courteney Selous boots.

I wear a U.S. 11

Both the pair I owned fit correctly and both had "10 1/2" Stamped on the back of the heal of the boot.

Hopes this helps.

After wearing them throughout the winter I find that there is not that much room for the large toenails.I felt the pressure on my toe nails and had to stop wearing them to prevent ingrown toe nails.I am going to have to find some way to stretch the leather and stop them from squashing both my toes.

Shootaway:

Maybe you ought get yourself a pair that will fit snugly with uncut toe-nails so the moment you begin feeling discomfort serves as reminder to trim them.

A good excuse to go and have a pedicure and a foot massage thrown into the bargain. Big Grin

This is jim from African Sporting creations. Just order a 12 US and we will send you an 11.5 UK which is the size of your current pair. Try them on inside and if they do not fit just send them back for a full refund

Sportwc,

what is your business? That full refund guarantee sounds like you have confidence in your expertise and product.

FYI, I wear a US 11 and the courteney size 11 fits me perfectly.

Fantastic quality as a reasonable price point.

I ordered a pair a few months ago, and Gale just asked for my address so I guess they should be coming.

We'll see if they fit as well as the ones I bought in 2005. If not they will be the ARbay.

I recently bought my 6th pair(I'm a shoe hog). I have been wearing my original Selous since 2005 for the last 10 safaris and they're still in great shape with a lot of tread left on the soles. I decided to wear a new pair of Selous that I bought here on AR Bay earlier so this year to Namibia at the end of this month. I tried them on again today and they fit perfectly. I've worn Courtney Selous boots hunting in Africa, Mexico and here in the Western U.S. tu2

I don't have shipping information yet on mine. Gale asked me for an address last week so hopefully soon I'll have them in my hands.

I asked for two pairs in 12 Brit to fit 13 US of Patrols.

One pair is a photo negative of the other pair. Or one pair is two tone and the other is solid brown.

If I ever get to Bulawayo, I'll have to stop in. My original pair of hippos are still going strong, but the soles are so damn hard they hurt my back.

So far I am into this exercise $500 for two pair and shipping. We'll see how it goes. First thing I have ever bought from Africa over the internet outside of South African DVDS and Bok Van Blerk music off of Ebay.
