Just done some welding on my hunting car (and no I was not wearing shoes and yes it was raining a little bit) there was a terrific bang as a bolt of lightening exploded nearby and the current threw me back some five feet. Apart from some aching bones, a headache and a little hole in my thumb I survived. My helper the gardener thought his Bwana was toast.

Fortunately I was trying to fit a rubber bush at the time and the shock must have come from the moisture in the air.

I am now marketing these rubber bushes as a lightening deterrent at $100 bucks a piece and consider it an essential bit of your safari wear. PM me for your order.

They come in a six pack mate and guaranteed to last 3 wet seasons. What colour would you like?

Hard choice... I was thinking black as we all know that goes well with any outfit...but British tan or Khaki might be a nice match for my Pith helmet Big Grin

Wow, your really never know when "it" will get you, do you?

Sometimes you survive only by milliseconds, or millimeters, or just by the Grace of God.

Reminds me of a fortune (Chinese fortune cookie), I read last week "Live in the moment, because the [end] result of life is always the same."

Meaning (I think) it is all terminal.
