Well the gear is checked and rechecked, rifle shot one more time just to be sure and I am good to go!

Sorry I won't get the chance to visit with any of my AR buddies and PH friends in Dallas and Houston at the shows but I am leaving this Wednesday for Benin to hunt buff and roan with Club Faune. Will do an in-depth (I am sure that elicits some groans because I can get verbose)hunt report when I get back with pictures and the whole nine yards. BillC will be following me to that part of the world as he leaves for his LDE hunt the last week of January.

Report from the camp is good numbers of game but hotter than usual with lows from the mid-60's to highs in the mid to upper 90's! Great, just like home! Maybe Al Gore is right. They have just kicked off the hunting season and I am one of the first hunters in. Get ready for sticker shock... everything is in euros and the details are running me $2500 more than planned because of the dollars decline but... dailies shot up for next year to 60% more than I paid this year! Youch... so I guess I am glad I booked when I did.

You guys and gals have fun and don't do or buy anything I wouldn't... see ya when I get back!

Cheers,
Russell

I always try to use enough gun but then sometimes a brainshot works just as good.

Best of luck. I'll be very interested in your report as I admit knowing almost nothing about Benin.

Shoot straight!

I have a friend who recently left Benin because he, as an African, couldn't do business there because of rampant corruption. What else is new.
