Good work by the PHs. Personally I'd have left him to take the charge with his crossbow! While taking a deer by stalking with a bow demonstrates some hunting skill, shooting dangerous game with a bow demonstrates a lack of consideration for the lives of the poor, unarmed trackers who have to follow it up. If you want to show your courage and lack of common sense by taking a lion with a bow go on your own! Videos like this do immense harm to all who hunt.

Any hunter who does not have the balls to kill his own animal have no right hunting. But, as that stupid IDIOT, Mark Sullivan, has proven time and time again, we have plenty of idiots going "hunting"! Bloody hell, he even ha s REPEAT clients!

Saeed: Unlike Mark Sullivan this Lion didn’t gave an ear tag, like many of his South African charging buffaloes. Jesus saves, but Moses invests

. You see the hunter with his bow nearly falling over backwards as the lion comes in! This is why I totally disagree with bow hunting on DG, it has the potential time and time again to put "others" at serious risk! How in this case here can the crossbow claim that he shot and killed the lion ? Not right IMO. . "Up the ladders and down the snakes!"

Shame on these people. What is perhaps most amazing, and appalling, is that they post a video of their infamy on a public forum! What a disgrace. Mike Wilderness is my cathedral, and hunting is my prayer.

While I understand operators posting videos that tastefully depicts what they offer hunters in the way of services, facilities, game and the local scenic beauty...as well as hunters having their hunts videoed to show family and friends back home, most of this stuff is due to the never ending need for "look at me". Look at me AND getting all of the followers, advertisers, etc. I will never understand it. As always ego and cash are the driving motivators. Too bad they don't consider how it affects all the rest of us when they are putting it out there in such a way that it negatively impacts all of us. ______________________________________________ The power of accurate observation is frequently called cynicism by those who are bereft of that gift.

The lion had no chance at all. Exactly the same as what made mark Sullivan famous.! The laws in Africa does require you to have an armed professional hunter with you. But, having your sorry arse being saved because of your own screw ups? Things do go wrong sometimes, but YOU, should be the one putting most efforts to ending it.

I have hunted and shot a few lions. Some on bait, some by following. Non were farm bred. We have had a few questionable situations, in that we were not sure if the lion was still alive, dead, or has snuck away. Always, ALWAYS, both the PH and myself walked side by side, both covering the front, and each covering his shooting side. I am right handed, my PH is left handed. I walk on the left, he is on the right. And the shocking part is we always see the dead lion far too close for comfort, if he was alive, we might not have had much of a chance before he was on top of us. I was hunting with a new PH once. Shot a buffalo bull late in the afternoon and he took off into a thicket. My Ph said "Relax now. I think he is hit hard. I will go to take a look" "No you are not. WE are going together to take a look!" As I said, if you are not prepared to finish an animal you have shot, you have no business going hunting.

In my opinion, the most redeeming portion of the entire video was the opening credits featuring some very "cheeky" young ladies. I imagine they are the featured hunter's granddaughters.
