BakesSo I was a little bored and went looking...
....at the old pages of the African Hunting forums. All the way back to page 1042 and worked my way forward. Some interesting stuff back then. Saw the post of Saeeds first trip to the Selous.
Lots of questions on the 404 Jeffery which still happens today. Mark Sullivan's name pops up in 2002 and much discussion ensued about his video's

. Saeed must of missed that one as I didn't see his name on the thread
The 45-70 was food for a lot of discussions (that one went on for a couple of years by various posters). And who can forget Carmelo? I have to say that our current trolls have nothing on Carmelo. Deep down I think some of you actually miss him. Did we ever find out who he was? Anyway.....
If you haven't done so, jump back a few hundred pages and have a laugh like I did.

Yes, that was in June 20th, 1938.

Well before the INNER CIRCLES were introduced.
Well before SCI re-invented trophy hunting and made it a competitive sport - the only requirement is how much money one had, and how many game laws one breaks to qualify for one of these CIRCLES.
Well before the South African Mafia got onto the act by buying "trophies" bred on farms and transporting them to any location required by the highest paying Wall Street bonzo who knows nothing about hunting but craves to see his name on SCI TROPHY LISTS.
It was then.
I almost got voted to be President then.
Trouble started when I asked one prospective "trophy hunter".
"Did you really shoot that yourself??"
Apparently that sort of question was most definitely not allowed to be asked

Happy New Year everyone.
