Again I am trying to pull things together for a dangerous game hunt in Africa.
I've come across the below scope locally that I can buy person to person.
It was made for dangerous game and Two Eyes Open Shooting.
Now I'm trying to determine the dollar value of this 2003 manufacture, yes, 2003,
SWAROVSKI Scope that has NEVER been mounted to a firearm, and is in the original
box with EVERYTHING it originally included.
That means right down to the HAWK lapel pin!
It is a HABICHT * PVI 1.25-4x24 L LG having an illuminated circle dot reticle.
Thank you for your thoughts!

What is he asking?

If it’s not a reasonable price watch the for sale forums here as deal pop up
All the time.

As an aside what are you mounting it to???

Thanks for posting!
That's the problem.
I'm trying to research what "REASONABLE" value would apply.
The seller said he's going to research value, and then let me know what price he wants.
The "For Sale" section on this site is where I'm headed next.
(I have a .458 Win Mag Mark X bolt action.)

750-1000 If you like the Circle Dot.

The last one I had changed out was $150, IIRC, and it wasn't an illuminated.

Note, they are heavy, but the baggage bunglers haven't managed to wreck mine. Yet!

I did a little research and came up with similar numbers.

$600-750.

Great thy it’s in new condition but considering that it’s 20 years old there are better scopes out there for just a little
More money.

Likely he will come back with retail and you are going. To have to work him down from there.

Not trying to meddle, but the optics you chose are seriously important. Going on this type of hunt merits the best optics you can buy. Buying 20 year old technology is a mistake and may cost you a shot when you need. Buy new and buy the best. You can’t hit what you can’t see….

Price seems reasonable but I'm not a bit fan of funny reticles. I'm a big fan of the Swaro Z6 1-6 illuminated.
