Thanks for posting that.

Crocs really give me the creeps!

Yet the locals often treat them with disdain, or tell you that they "are friendly". I'll bet they are......

I would love to spend the seasons in Africa just shooting Crocs. I hate them....the personification of evil.

Yup. Pure evil.

I was once asked if the big 5 terrified me. Absolutely not was my response. Then I added that crocs absolutely terrify me every single time. No exceptions.

I agree! I hate to even think about putting a toe in a River filled with crocs!
I've only waded in a bit to help recover a Hippo and Croc (and baiting a huge Croc). crocs flat scare me.. as a matter of fact last time I was in Zambia a guy got nailed by one in the next concession recovering an animal...I couldn't help thinking that could have easily been someone in our party.

In 2013, we headed to the Zambezi to go tiger fishing. A native woman got hammered while wading in the water.

In 2014, I hunted around Kariba. I was terrified. If that boat went down, we had no chance.

I have a 458 lott and 450-400 just in case some escape from disney animal kingdom and come my way.

It's a whole mix... it begins with a jaguar stalking some caymans, which are small and a normal part of their diet. Then there's an African leopard attacked by a crocodile while trying to cross a muddy stream... and finally what look like indian Mugger crocodiles surrounding a very obviously wounded leopard.

Crocs are just part of nature, neither good nor bad. Their kills are no different from that of any other predator.

I think the fact crocs are cold blooded reptiles makes them much more sinister to the human psyche.
